Migunga Tented Camp is tucked away in a peaceful area of Lake Manyara’s northwest shore. The camp is conveniently located in the shadow of an acacia woodland, approximately 5 minutes from the Lake Manyara National Park entrance. This is an excellent base camp for exploring the picturesque surrounds of Lake Manyara or paying a cultural visit to the vibrant town of Mto Wa Mbu. The camp is nestled in 35 acres of acacia woodland and features 21 permanent tents on high platforms, each with its own en-suite shower and private balcony overlooking the beautiful forest. All of the tents are arranged discreetly around a central glade, providing shade and seclusion while being only a short walk from the restaurant and bar.
At Migunga, you wake up to the sound of the forest, with rays of sunlight filtering through the thick trees. In the afternoon, you may take a mountain bike ride around Lake Manyara’s backyard or watch our vervet monkeys play in the center field. The evenings are filled with the sounds of woodland creatures, completing your story.
