Nestled in the middle of the Aberdare National Park, it is both legendary and unusual. The Ark lodge looks out over a floodlit pool of water and salt lick, which draws a variety of amazing species. The Ark is modeled like and named after Noah’s Ark, and it consists of three decks with several terraces and lounges from which to view animals. The night guard will ring your accommodation when unique animals come to the waterhole so you don’t miss any wildlife sightings. The Ark includes four observation spots from which to see the constant wildlife behavior. At the premises also exists a ground-level bunker, which is ideal for photographers. This is a circular pillbox-like structure from which photos of animals on the salt lick barely yards away can be taken safely through the view holes.
