Our forefathers descended from the rocks and grasses that surround Bushtops camps to congregate around campfires and tell stories on the East African plains. One of the most profound consequences of touring our camps is reconnecting with our basic heritage and human tale. We are relocating the energy that sparked us here. We may tune in to our own primordial urges, evolved as we battled or fled over grasslands hundreds of millions of years ago, by immersing ourselves in this untouched world, witnessing creatures thriving and free. Bushtops becomes an excursion into ourselves, our history, and our future through reconnecting to our shared human story.
Africa is where humanity’s tale begins. And we learn so much from discoveries made here here in Kenya and Tanzania. This is where our forefathers went out into the savannah, taking the first steps toward becoming fully human. It’s an honor to be able to visit this spot, the origin of mankind.”
