The Mara Explorer lodge is located in the heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Its Talek River tents are built on high wooden platforms. Each room features a claw-foot tub. Mara’s roomy tents are elegantly decorated with hand-carved mahogany furnishings and antique wardrobes. Each room includes a mosquito net and its own bathroom, which features a double vanity and an indoor shower. There are also free amenities and a hairdryer.
Guests can spot many animals from the camp or join one of the certified guides on an open-vehicle safari. Guests of Mara Explorer Tented Camp may make use of the facilities at sister cam Samburu. This beautiful five-star camp offers ten spacious tents, each with its own own river frontage and views of the Talek’s southern banks.
The tents have been carefully built to open up to the sky, and a Victorian claws foot bathtub on one side of the deck provides isolated open air bathing and a wonderful new perspective of the African wilderness. Each tent includes a personal tent attendant and tent service radios.
