4 Days Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara Budget Camping Safari

DAY 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara

8.00hrs: Drive through large Kikuyu farmlands to the edge of the Rift Valley. Descend the escarpment and drive via Narok to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Lions in Masai Mara.The Masai Mara adjoins Tanzania & Serengeti National Park. Masai Mara is famous for its Black-manned and yearly migrations of wildebeest and zebra. Elephant, buffalo, rhino, gazelle, leopards, giraffe are also found here. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 2: Masai Mara

A full day spent viewing and exploring this spectacular National Park. All the big Five can be seen. Masai Mara is also famous for its bird life. Meals and overnight at the camp.

DAY 3: Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, leave camp and proceed to Nakuru to arrive in time for lunch. Game viewing drive at 1600hrs. Lake Nakuru National Park is located in the Rift Valley 1750 meters above sea level, Lake Nakuru is known as an ornithological paradise by birdwatchers.Lake Nakuru is famous for its Pink Flamingoes and many other types of birds. There are also lots of animals including, lions, leopards, white rhino, jackals, pythons amongst other numerous herbivores found in this park. Dinner and overnight at a budget hotel.

DAY 4: Lake Nakuru - Nairobi

After breakfast spend the morning watching and photographing birds and wild animals in the park. Depart hotel after lunch and leave for Nairobi stopping for panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley en-route. Arrive at Nairobi in the afternoon.

Accommodation on this safari is similar to the 3 days Masai Mara Camping Safari. You stay in a tent that has a permanent roof, bed, beddings, hot water shower and private toilet all self contained in the tent. Tents accommodate 2 people of the same gender or couples, 3 persons traveling together or a single person if you wish to have your own private tent at a small fee. The camps are located at the Olomutia and Sekanani gates of the Masai Mara National Reserve.

This safar is flexible as it departs everyday through out the year. you can also extend your safari by staying an extra day in Masai Mara if you so wish.

The safari vehicle accommodates a maximum of 7 persons so that every one has a window seat on game drives in the Mara. Please note safari is also extendable by a day to Lake Nakuru National Park for US$ 535 per person whereby you leave Masai Mara in the late morning for Nakuru with lunch at Mai Mahiu or Naivasha towns. You arrive Nakuru in the early evening for rest and overnight at a budget hotel. The next day you leave the hotel after breakfast for the Nakuru National Park where you have a full day game drive leaving at 3 PM for Nairobi.
